Chamelon Group of Composers competition 1999

 

Selection Results

Chameleon Composers are pleased to announce the results of their 1999 competition:

Based on the theme Music of and about Croydon we received several compositions form which three were selected for performance during the concert on October the 14th 1999 at the Braithwaite Hall in Croydon. After the concert the winner was selected by vote from three judges and also by vote from the audience. The finalists were:

 

  • David Braid
  • Nicholas Kingman
  • Susha Parameswaren

     

    The winner was:

  • David Braid with his composition Deadalus for piano.

    David Braid was comissioned to write a new work for the 2000 autumn season for the Chameleon Group of Composers.
