Heliotropo
Marisol Gentile

The piece presents 3 contrasting motives: one is strong and rhythmic the other is melodic and contemplative, while the third is traditional, and blurred by a chromatic counterpoint. These three contrasting elements are connected via a dialectic form, which can be compared to the conversation of three people of different character and political attitude (one is a temperamental socialist, the other a romantic ecologist and the third a democratic nationalist) who are found in a tranquil conversation in a room and who, at the same time, are seen to be contemplating the gigantic heliotropo of the room of existence.
