Chameleon group of composers (London) in collaboration with the ICA and Friends and Enemies of New Music (New York) in collaboration with the William Paterson University New Jersey presented a simultaneous concert with internet broadcast.
It was the artistic concept to present audiences with new music from New York and London. This is of great interest, as modern information technology seems to have brought along a globalization of unknown dimensions questioning the identity of specific locations. It also demonstrated, that smaller organizations are empowered by new technology to create collaborative projects and broadcasts on a scale unthinkable even 5 years ago.
Participating composers are Tom Cipullo (Water Lilies), Giles Easterbrook (Warwick Light), Ludger Hofmann-Engl (Psalm 30), John Link (music for solo clarinet), Peter Anthony Monk (Railway Parade) and Ben Yarmolinsky (Variations on "We shall Overcome"). Performers were Fibonacci Sequence together with the excellent soprano Lesely-Jane Rogers.
